Vote Rivka and Anthony for UA President

I’m Rivka Lipkovitz, an aspiring economist who cares about creating an accountable and fair student government. I’ve published peer-reviewed research on election integrity and want to use data-driven methods to improve students’ well-being.

I’m Anthony Donegan, and I want to help build a transparent, accountable, and efficient student government that answers directly to students. That’s why I shared the budget on dormspam and am now stepping up to help solve the problem.

We are running as co-presidents.

While the UA is allocated $347k, most students can’t seem to name a single thing they do. Basic economic principles show that unless money is spent in ways that generate positive externalities, like clubs and shared resources, it would be better to let the students decide how to spend it.

Our goal is simple: we want to cut unnecessary spending and return the bulk of UA funds directly back to the students, first and foremost by dramatically increasing club funding.

Once in office, we will immediately release all previous UA budget documents. Throughout our term, we will ensure complete financial transparency. No money will be left unaccounted for.

We’re not running to fund internal retreats or parties. We’re running to make the UA’s budget reflect students’ priorities, and to treat student money like it actually belongs to students.
